Summary of chapter

Tally bungee jumped off the roof and set of the fire alarm which attracted a lot of attention, so she took of running into the woods. Once she got close to the river she saw a figure in which she thought was a police officer so she froze. After a while she got tired and step on a branch which snapped, but the figure still didn't move. Finally she realized it was another ugly. They met her name was Shay, and they headed back to Uglyville together on her hooverboard.

What have you learned about Shay? Make a prediction about what will happen between them.

Shay is an adventure seeking girl like Tally. I think that throughout the rest of the book they will become good friends. After a while Shay will have to tell Tally the truth that they are nothing like the pretties, and I think this will hurt their friendship for a while.

Why do I think New Pretty Town advocates bungee jumping?

Because it wouldn't be perfect to just jump off of a roof in case of a fire so bungee jumping makes it ok, because it is a perfect escape root.

I think the friendship of Tally and Peris is bogus, because Tally knows Peris knows he can't be seen being friends with Tally. Thats why I think it is not true also how can you be real friends if nobody can know or see them together.

Why do you think Tally chose to wear a mask to the party that was deemed "white tie"?

She was thinking to much about Peris that she forgot that her mask was a pig(an ugly animal), and it was a white tie party. Just goes to show that love will make you do some crazy things.

Have you ever had a friend like Peris who abandoned your friendship after moving? Explain.



Yes, I have my friend Joey moved to Laredo two years ago, and before we use to basically live with each other, but now I havent't seen in probably a year and a half. It's sad how well you can know someone then all of a sudden they just kind of get lost in your mind. It's amazing how much it happens in the real world though.

1) interface ring-it is a gadget that Tally uses in her world that is like her pass, it tracks her, and keeps records of what she does.

2) toothbrush pill- it is another thing in Tally's world you chew it and it cleans your teeth instead of using a toothbrush.

3)Cacophony- a weird mixture of loud noises.

What is beauty? What would the world be like if everyone was beautiful?

I define beauty as something that is perfect in the way that its physical features are flawless, a very rare thing. If everyone was beautiful, how would you know what beauty really was, cause everyone would look the same, it would be boring. As far as we know everyone on earth could be beautiful, but we only judge beauty as something we hear is beautiful from other people. Not what we think is beautiful. For example a tal l, blonde hair, blue eyed person is most peoples "templetes" of beauty.


Ugly and Beauty Pictures

I describe this pictures as beautiful, because it is honestly amazing that a little creature that is this small can always be so cute, energized, and happy looking. This is a site that no matter where you see or under what conditions you see it, it will always seem beautiful. A picture that will make your heart do a backflip when it sees it.

I describe this picture of a coffin as ugly because death is one of the worst things that happens in mankind, and seeing a coffin just makes you feel like the dead is around you. A very sad and scary thing that happens daily. Seeing death right in front of your own eyes almost makes me sick to my stomach, something that is beyond ugly.
